My brother holding up his purchases - white fungus soup + lotus cake

we went crazy when we found out dumplings went for only P50-P60/order (4 pieces). cheaaaaap! we ended up ordering 9 different kinds, haha.

Total damage: P775 for 9 dumpling orders + 3 bowls of mami
I don’t have a picture of it, but if you go to chinatown buy some SHANGHAI FRIED SIOPAO. It goes for P15 a piece on Ongpin street (go to the store with the wooden sign). It’s delicious!
Started the day off with me and Orange trooping over to Fior’s house for the ritual screaming of “FIORRRRRRRRRRRR!” to which she then responds by also screaming our names accompanied by tons of hugging and declarations of “I love you!!” (yup, me and my friends are a very affectionate bunch). From there we went to ATC to grab some dinner and watch Avatar (which has excellent graphics, btw).
Here’s some photos from today:

Fior with her new boyfriend Jaesong :)

Aww. :) These guys are adorable.
The weight of the world
Is love
Under the burden
Of solitude
Under the burden
Of dissatisfaction
The weight
The weight we carry
Is love.
Who can deny?
In dreams
It touches
The body,
In thought
Constructs
A miracle,
Its imagination
Anguishes
Till born
In human
Looks out of the heart
Burning with purity—
For the burden of life
Is love.
First to Mogwai to grab some vodka (sorry, no shot of that one. I was too busy drinking.) and then to Bellini’s for some wine:

Pretty cza. :) And behind her, some italians conversing in Italian. Loved the authenticity.

Pretty delicious sweet wine!

Thought it pleasantly strange that a restaurant like that (serving wine no less) be situated in an artist community filled with students sipping cheap beer on the curb of a dozen or so little shops. It was like entering another world. Loved it!
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you go there for some after work (or after school) relaxation time. Their homemade (table) sweet wine costs only P80, but you can also opt for red or white wine which goes for P170. This place has also been known to serve some fantastic food (though we didn’t eat anything, so I can’t give my own opinion on this). Price range for the food is P200-500.
From there, we met up with Ana and did a spontaneous photo shoot session filled with randomness:

We then decided to check out the collaboration project between Team Manila and the I Love You store at, well, the I Love You Store:

Just a warning - clothes here are pretty pricey. Expect to shell out P800 for a shirt.

Really loved how the store was designed. That’s one of the things I love about Cubao X - you get to see stores you don’t see anywhere else in the Philippines. And they’re run by artists and designers so you can really see the difference between a store you find here and the ones you see in malls:

And to end things on a nice note, here’s a photo I took of lovebirds Ana and Ted when we went to Mister Kebab for some early morning persian food:

Found out what kind of designer I want to be today. :)
Spent the day in the Ayala Triangle Park, which is absolutely gorgeous btw.

I loved all the Christmas lights! The pictures don’t do it justice; the little bulbs actually glittered in the sun.

Mint Chocolate Gelato from Caramia (P60). Yum!

Went back to Caramia to try another flavor - Sansrival. Wasn’t bad, but the chocolate mint was definitely better.

At around 5:30 the Christmas lights are turned on.

And at 6 they start a light show called the Symphony of Lights. It runs every 30 minutes from 6 to 7 in the evening.

Cza :)

Good day. :)
