Based on a short story I wrote a while ago about a world that was full of incomplete peopleI wanted to imagine what these people really were on the inside; I wanted to fill in their gaps. I fantasized about what these people would do if they had the option to draw themselves into completion. For some reason I thought the usual way of doing it wouldn’t be right. These people wouldn’t know what normal is, so what they would come up with would be a little more imaginative. I also hid an animal in each illustration just as a little secret.

Then again, would they even know they were incomplete?

Combining all the elements I love - abstract shapes, silhouettes, animals (plus points if you see a swan neck somewhere), and subtle details that makes me think this should be animated, haha. Made for an exhibit in Japan next month.

Designed a series of illustrations meant to act as chapter title pages for a booklet on the national budget. I created three illustrations for the chapters and designed the cover (final illustration).

I loved making little origami boats when I was a kid. Used to let them loose on the sink and imagined how it would be like if I were riding it. This time, I imagined me riding an origami aircraft and blowing bubbles into the air, haha. I love how some of the things we loved when we were younger stay with us as we get older.

Thievery Corporation is making me more mellow, hence the muted colors and minimalism. I’ve been adding things to this piece on and off for the past few hours, but I keep taking everything out. It just feels more natural to keep it simple today.
Anyway, good morning. :)

Baby onesies designs

Made these a couple of months ago. Don’t know if they’ll ever be printed, but it doesn’t matter. Had fun making them! :)

Here’s two of the five designs I made for the project:

Something abstract and colorful, which is definitely what I’m into. :)

And something fun for both parents and kids. :) All the challenges are baby-themed and have consequences like having diaper duty for the next few days, haha. Will post the other ones next time.
